A prototype of the Delta robot was built for the customer. The robot’s task was to pick up the test points on a circuit board defined by the user and test the circuit operation. A machine-vision-based solution was used for the final alignment. A second version of this robot has since then been built and it has been used for various tasks ranging from sorting seeds to decorating gingerbread.
