Rinki™

A mobile robot spinning in a circle on the field.

The Rinki™ robot is a set of devices developed for the automatic management of the recurrent work stages of small-scale farming. It was developed as a part of EU projects participated by a large group of international partners. The robot autonomously cultivates a circular area. The first Rinki™ robots are utilised at Probot Oy’s Haapajärvi test farm during the summer season.

The two-wheeled mobile robot rotates a truss beam around a central point and controls tools attached to the beam along the beam as well as vertically. This technique enables the autonomous management of an entire circular cultivated area. Different tools can be integrated into the ring for research or work phases covering the entire area.
