We integrated an Omron mobile robot to manage factory logistics between testing and production. The robot is used to transport a cart on which materials are loaded in the warehouse. Separate pick-up and drop-off points have been designated for the cart, and the robot manages the logistics between the points autonomously. The mobile robot interface was implemented based on the customer’s wishes. Desired tasks are selected for the robot, and it will perform the tasks in the given order. The mobile robot avoids obstacles and averts any difficult spots along the route based on a map it has been taught and specified transport areas.
