MIND4MACHINES – RIM

In MIND4MACHINES project Robots Imitate Magos (RIM) we work with Quanta & Qualla to utilize a sensorized glove (Magos) to gather hand movements, and translate them into a tangible set of instructions and trajectories to be fed to diverse combinations of robot and a gripper models designed by our industrial partner SIEMENS.

Many industrial processes remain being executed manually due to the necessary dexterity to perform them and their complexity to be replicated and automated. In MIND4MACHINES project Robots Imitate Magos (RIM) to utilize a sensorized glove (Magos) developed by Quanta & Qualla to gather hand movements, and translate them into a tangible set of instructions and trajectories to be fed to diverse combinations of robot and a gripper models designed by partner SIEMENS. RIM project decreases the development time of robotic trajectories and gripping strategies in extreme dexterity implementations.

In this EU-funded project, we cooperate with Quanta & Qualla and our industrial partner Siemens.

MIND4MACHINES

Connecting machines with people, process and technology

MIND4MACHINES aims to facilitate the cross-sectoral and cross-border support needed by manufacturing SMEs to test and adopt the latest digital technologies for transformation towards smarter, greener, and more resource-efficient manufacturing, aligned with the latest EU policies.

Objectives

The Project aims to establish large-scale demonstrators to test a range of digital solutions of technology providing SMEs and startups, which will enable manufacturing companies engaged within the Project to meet both digitalisation and sustainability industry challenges.
Manufacturing companies are invited to use the Open Innovation Space of MIND4MACHINES to search for solutions for digitalisation of production processes.

Funding

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme – INNOSUP under grant agreement No 101005711
